Join us for a Meetup event open to the public. We will welcome Kyle McNutt to talk to us about upgrading our Angular projects.
Upgrading from AngularJS 1.x to Angular 2+ has been touted as a full-rewrite job, and can be quite daunting. I’m going to show you how to take it slow though and upgrade each of your Components piece by piece, instead of doing a full re-write. We’ll cover the necessary prep work, how to pass information between AngularJS Components and Angular 2+ Components, and how you eventually can move to a full Angular 2+ application.
My name is Kyle McNutt, I currently work at Unity Technologies trying to figure out how to better share code at Unity across the many different platforms that we ship to, including browsers, Electron, and the Unity Editor. I have a BS in Computer Science from Cal Poly Pomona, and a Master’s in Software Engineering from Seattle University. I’ve been using Angular since early 2014 and learned so much in how to use it effectively in code bases.
